It’s that time of year again! Well, sort of.
By request, we are starting Secret Santa a little earlier so that you have more time to (anonymously) get to know your giftee and shop for them. You will have until October 15th to sign up, at which point names will be drawn. Your gift should arrive before Christmas, and the spending limit is set to $25.00.
Like last year, our plan is to pick a day to be virtually together to open gifts. You as the gifter can choose at that point to reveal yourself, though it isn’t required.
Important things to keep in mind:
If you wish to participate but are concerned about sharing your address, you can feel free to request gift cards or have something shipped to a nearby Amazon locker.
I have the ability to create draw restrictions so that someone doesn’t end up with a specific person. I will not use this to prevent people from getting someone they don’t know very well, but I will if you’d like to avoid drawing someone such as your significant other because you intend on gifting them anyway. Please let me know if you want me to add one for you.
Finally, please only sign up if you feel confident that you will be able to follow through, even if you receive someone you don’t know particularly well. The extended gifting period is put in place so that you have the chance to reach out to each other. You can do this anonymously through Elfster.
